Description
This lovely sterling silver pendant features the Celtic Cross, a powerful symbol of faith. Decorated with celtic knot-work on each arm of the cross, it makes for a wonderful piece for any wardrobe.
One legend tells how St Patrick saw a pagan standing stone imprinted with a circle, the symbol of the moon goddess. He is said to have blessed the stone, marking it with a Latin cross. Another tells of St. Patrick combining the circular symbol of the Sun God with the Latin cross to tie the two religions together and ease the transition into Christianity. Whatever the case, it gave us what we know of today as the iconic Celtic Cross.
